Baggage
Island Airlines permits passengers to check up to 100 lbs. worth of luggage. Extra baggage weight is subject to additional shipping charges. We request that each bag weigh no more than 50 lbs. Passengers may also carry-on one personal item at no charge. Small personal items may be stowed in the plane’s wing locker.  Approved personal Items include, one purse, briefcase, camera bag, diaper bag, laptop, or one item of similar or smaller size. Please advise the ticket agent if you intend to use the wing locker, as your items will need to be weighed and accounted for.

We try to accommodate all baggage needs; however bags that do not meet our size, weight or quantity restrictions require special handling and additional fees.  Additional weight will incur a charge of .40c per lb and cannot be guaranteed to fly on the same flight as the passenger.

All checked baggage must be checked at the airline counter 10 minutes prior to departure. Charges for excess, oversize, and overweight bags will be assessed and collected at the airport upon check-in.

We do ask that you pack your belongings properly to help prevent damage. Please let us know if any of your items are fragile so that we can label them as such, and handle them with greater care. We recommend that passengers pack soft sided duffle bags, as opposed to hard sided luggage.
